Some commentators have
speculated that the UFO sightings in
Wycliffe Well can be attributed to aircraft
being tested at the Woomera Prohibited
Area, which also is located on the Stuart
Highway. The WPA is sometimes referred
to as Area 52, or Australia’s Area 51.
Another local explanation for the sightings
is the rumour of a secret military base, out
to the west in the deep desert. The lights
could be from experimental military
aircraft - or from UFOs observing those
aircraft.
One report from ABC online raises
the question: Could the sightings at
Wycliffe Well have something to do with
the Aboriginal Dreamtime story of the
‘Devil Man’ Arrange, who made the red
granite boulders of Karlu Karlu? The
writers claim to have witnessed some
‘strange and inexplicable phenomenon
whilst camped close to Dreaming sites out
in the desert.’ 2
The ongoing phenomenon does
prompt one to ask why ETs would be
conducting such intensive activity in this
part of the country. Is there something
going on away from our eyes under the
ground, and is there any connection to the
fact that our sky-watching Original people
held this as Sacred Ground? We believe
the answer will become clearer soon as the
New Humans become more prevalent in
this special land Downunder.
