WHAT IS
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY?
A large group of college students are all loaded onto a bus to head off to a camp for a
week. On the ride each student slowly loses cellular connection. The only other human
life seemed to be those traveling through town. Sounds like something out of a horror film,
right? But no, this group of students were off to Morgantown, IN to experience one of the
most inspiring weeks of their lives.
Leadership Academy, for me, fully-embodied what it means to be a part of Circle K international. It embraced the three tenants of our organization: leadership, service, and fellowship. Leadership Academy taught me not only what it means to be a servant leader
but also how to encourage leadership around me. LA gave me the necessary tools I
could bring back to help my club and district flourish. In addition, would it be a Kiwanis
