Wide Polychromed Whalebone Busk, circa 1860, engraved on both sides, the central panel depicts a sperm whale flanked by ocean views of a steam-sail ship and Neptune on a chariot, the reverse with 5 vignettes, the top engraved with Christ on the cross, above Adam and Eve with serpent and tree, above a Chinese pagoda, above Lady Hope, above arrows with harp, signed W.M. French Whalebone Scrimshawed Busk, circa 1850, a heart shaped grip, the busk depicts The Garden of Love, with Aphrodite in the Barge of Beauty, drawn by doves and attended by a group of cupids armed with arrows. Carved Sperm Whale Ivory Naughty Leg Pie Crimper, circa 1860, in two sections, the upper grip with hinged arched hanger above an open heart and 5-point star on stacked pallets, baleen spacer to the more graceful part of the crimper, a full lady’s leg bent at the knee down to a scalloped top high-ankle boot; attached by two scrolls as spokes to an open three-spoke zigzag cutting wheel.
