the 188 green and red foliate scrimshawed
whalebone ribs radiating from a multi-
turned and polychromed shaft rising from
a large barrel form clamp and screw
matching the spiked turned finial.

92 B. Large Whale Ivory Seal Pie
Crimper, circa 1840-1850, with abalone
eyes and knife and fork pinned to his
mouth. A most unusual scrolled edge
spoked wheel and hanging ring at the end
of the grip.
Length 9 in.
92 C. Fancy Whale Ivory Pie Crimper,
circa 1870, the handle carved out of a
large single piece of whale tooth, scroll
design with fork and hinged hanging ring
and an open zigzag wheel.
