DeLong put a whoopin’ on the XC2 division.
“It was a pretty good day,” said DeLong. “
The only thing that could have went better
was my start. I got a bad start. I was trying
to get it ready to start, and it started before I
wanted it to so I had to shut it back off. Kind
of left me a little unprepared there with ten
seconds to go. Worked my way through the
pack and was leading by the end of the first
lap. I knew if I got out and pushed hard I
could get out front and kind of ride my own
race. That’s what I did. I felt good. I really like
this place. I’ve been looking forward to coming
here all year. Happy to get it done.”
