Going for a trim will get rid of your split ends and help your hair look healthy again. Dried-out hair? Freckly skin? Rough feet? It’s been an exceptionally long and hot summer and our bodies have borne the brunt of it. For many, summer in Spain means late nights, family visiting, dining out, tapas crawls and the kids off school. For those that work, summer is often the busiest and longest season. Many of us are now feeling tired and frazzled, it’s time to get back on track... 1. 4. Get moving. Exercise can help increase your energy levels. During the summer, it’s so hard to get enough exercise and it can leave us feeling sluggish and tired. Increase your walking or perhaps join an exercise class to keep you motivated. Sleep works wonders. During the summer, we tend to have later nights, keep irregular hours and have poor quality sleep. Our bodies need to catch up. The best way to recover your energy levels is to make sure you’re getting a solid seven or eight hours sleep. Keeping a regular sleep schedule—even on weekends—maintains the timing of the body's internal clock and can help you fall asleep and wake up more easily. 5. Nutrition boost. For many, summer in the sun means excess food and drink. Family and friends visiting, dining out, not to mention the fact that it’s just too hot to cook! It’s time to get some goodness back into your body. Try to eat nutrient-rich foods that are packed with vitamins and minerals. 6. Take a break. The Costa del Sol is a pretty lively place to be during the summer, so a break will help you unwind. A change of scene could help such as taking a day trip, or a weekend away. It’s also important to make some time for yourself, join a new group, take up a new hobby, indulge in a manicure - anything that gives you a break and time to focus on yourself. 2. Nurture dry and dehydrated skin. Moisturise your skin morning and night. A body lotion packed with antioxidants will help your skin recover. It’s still hot out there so remember to keep using your sun protection. 3. Dry and damaged hair. Sun, wind, chlorine, salt water and 40
