Mediterráneo close to the Rui Monica hotel it is owned and run by local Chef Marc Thomas. Marc has gained an enviable reputation for his fabulous take on the traditional Sunday Roast in and around the Nerja area. Marc has decided Cancer March for Men A Nerja restaurant owner has undertaken to walk a marathon to raise cash for Prostate Cancer UK. The charity’s March for Men which will cover a total of 400 miles and call in at 40 English football clubs. Miguel and his wife Janet run the popular JJ’s Café del Mar on Nerja’s playa Burriana. Three years ago, he underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate which, thankfully, turned out to be benign. “However,” he says, “it was a very stressful and worrying time because you don’t know whether or not it is cancer until after the operation. Marc says that is essential to pre-book as he does not want to turn people away. Servings are from 1pm to 6pm. You may have noticed that the part of calle Antonio Millón that joins calle Chaparil is closed while they pedestrianise and beautify it. Thank goodness the tree that made the pavement so uneven has gone! Vinoleto may look hard to get to but it is still open as usual, you just need to walk around the wire fence!
