Beyond the Bayou by Chas Champagne T his adventure started off with Capt Ty Hibbs and myself planning our trip to CAST 2016 to showcase our products from Matrix Shad in Orlando, FL. Ty and I based our choice on what had a fishy-looking terrain on the resort grounds. That's right, we researched all day on Google Earth looking for a place to stay near the Orange County Convention center, where ICAST 2016 was held. What we were looking for on Google Earth was nicesized lakes or ponds on the grounds of a hotel or resort where we could book our stay. After some timely research, we found one that looked promising and one where we could afford to stay while exhibiting at ICAST. We loaded up with just enough luggage to get us through our stay, but with enough Matrix gear to last us a year. Rods, check. Camera, check. Eight-foot plastic boat, check; and off we went
