Page 7 THE MAGAZINE ROOM So is this the way the industry is turning? Seems like every year the Mini Truckers are slowly turning in their S-10, Rangers and Toyotas for Vintage metal. Seems every show, every year I run into more and more Hot Rods and Street Rods at what used to be dominated with Mini Trucks. Know don t get me wrong there are a lot of bas ass trucks in the scene but starting to be a bunch of round body Ford Trucks, big back window Chevy trucks and finned Cadillac s on the grounds. I think it has a lot to do with getting older. Several friends of the automotive industry have been turning this direction. It s funny how many builders that had cover vehicles and features in Mini Truckin, Street Trucks and Truckin know have the same but in Street Rodder and Hot Rod among many others. I can t go to Good-Guys shows and not see 30-40 people from the past showing their rides and saying their tired of the past, time to move on. In this August issue we bring some hot rides from coast to coast including our very own Dustin Naylors 2002 Chevrolet Blazer aka RUDY on the cover with the very stunning Gauge Girl Claire Estep. We had to shoot RUDY twice since Dustin changed it a bit since the Mini Truckin cover shoot. Also featured is Chris Fesler White Knight 2010 Chevrolet Camaro that is family friendly and 700 plus horses under the hood. Next Brad Walker captured Daniel Dennisons My Vice 1988 Nissian Pathfinder while down South. Last Jason Peckovitch shot this stunning 1966 Mustang Shelby GT 350 tribute better known as The Girl owned by Kelly Koritnik in Colorado. Shows in this issue include Danger Zone out in California presented by Dangerous Toyz and shot by Robert Rosales. Next BLT and Hartley cover the indoor action at the Indianapolis World of Wheels along with the special feature Brushin for the Kids . A pin striper auction that all the proceeds went to the Young Diabetes Association. Last but not least Hartley covered all the craziness of the 4 x 4 Jamboree in Lima, Ohio put on by Special Events. And don t forget to check out the hotness of Nicks Garage, feature the lovely Juliana. Until next month, Keep the rides clean, Respect the people around you and remember strippers are people too.
