The figure is bound by golden threads of enlightenment. He represents the Annointed or Christed One; the state of being reached when we see things are they are and not through the illusion. From this position is it not always a nice place to be because those around you may not understand or see things from the same perspective which can make it a lonely path to tread, but Enlightenment is the Ego's biggest disappointment.
