The Rainbow Travellers Tarot – Created and Printed on Vancouver Island, Canada

As a youth I was often criticized for living with my head in the clouds. I finally took that constant rebuke to heart and embraced it after 35 years of playing it safe in the corporate world. Since leaving that world in May this year, I've curated the Cowichan Valley Art Council's first digital art show in July, had my first solo art show at Java World, and created and self-published my first tarot deck.

I started creating digital art 15 years ago, and soon began creating mythical and fantasy images. At first, it was a form of self-expression, but quickly became something I wanted to share to take others on a journey through their imagination. Although making art with a computer started as my hobby, over the years I learned new tools and developed techniques to make a style that is all my own. The inspiration for the Rainbow Travellers Tarot arose as I was creating these images. My spiritual journey over the years included a deep exploration of the tarot and the desire to create my own deck.

The tarot is many things to many people. For me and countless others, it is a metaphysical tool to intuitively connect with inner wisdom and guides that provide understanding of personal situations or challenges. The tarot assists us to connect with messages that bring clarity and insights to all kinds of questions. The traditional archetypes of the tarot are at times confusing and even scary to some people. I created the Rainbow Travellers Tarot so that each of the 78 cards had their own story to tell. I was excited to incorporate my own vision of some of life's lessons to help others tap into their own wisdom that would help to empower them to make decisions and choices to discover their own dreams.
