That was the last time George made himself known in an obvious way. In subtle ways we know he's still here (though neither of our two dogs bark at the hallway and the cat isn't phased at all), because little things will disappear like a book of stamps or a lottery ticket. Our neighbors have no idea who George might be and they lived next door as this house was being built. Whomever George is, he's an old spirit, and it seems a friendly one, now that he's stopped freaking me out!
I still wonder about that orb, by the way.
