Tammy has been a REALTOR ® since 1995 and has offices in
Columbia and Fairview Heights, Illinois. She has received numerous
awards and designations during her career. Tammy and her team sold
over 69 million dollars in homes in 2017 with her career sales reaching
over half a BILLION dollars. Her company, the Tammy Mitchell Hines & Co.
Real Estate Team is consistently ranked the #1 Independent Real Estate
Team as well as #1 in total homes sold in Southwestern Illinois. They work
closely with buyers and sellers. They are committed to helping their clients
accomplish their real estate goals in the shortest amount of time, with the
fewest hassles possible.
In 2016 Tammy was named REALTOR ® of the Year by the
REALTOR ® Association of Southwestern Illinois. “The REALTOR ®
of the Year award is one of the highest honors the Association can bestow
on a member. It is presented to an individual whose dedication to excellence
has most profoundly enhanced the professional image of REALTORS ® .
The award recognizes the REALTOR ® of the Year’s personal leadership and
service qualities, applied not only to the real estate industry, but also to the
promotion of civic, community and charitable causes. The award, while not
granted for a specific business accomplishment, is earned by REALTORS ®
who have made a mark in the real estate industry.”
Tammy was also awarded The Professional Award. This award is the
first of its kind for the Realtor ® Association of Southwestern Illinois.
Members of the association were each allowed one vote for the member
they felt exemplified professionalism. Both awards were presented by the
association at their annual awards ceremony.
Of these awards, Tammy said “These awards are a source of great
pride and a huge surprise. I consider the past REALTOR ® of the Year award
recipients to be my idols and mentors. I nev er imagined being part
of that list. It is such an honor. I was equally surprised to be awarded
The Professionalism Award. It has always been my goal to conduct my
business with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
It’s great to see those qualities are still appreciated and the Association

Her credentials and awards include 2016 REALTOR ® of the Year,
2016 RASI Professional Award, 1996 Rookie of the Year, Top Individual
Producer for the Realtor ® Association of Southwestern Illinois for 2003,
2004, 2005. Since 2006 she has been the leader of one of the Top Teams
in the entire MLS. She was also chosen as 1 of 30 agents under 30 across
the nation by The National Association of Realtors ® , and designations of
excellence include her ABR, GRI, CRS, SFR, CDPE (Certified Distressed
Property Expert for handling Short Sales) and MRP (Military Relocation
Professional), Broker’s license and Managing Broker’s License.
Tammy is also involved in numerous civic organizations and provided
scholarships to local high school children for over 11 years. In 2015 the
annual “Integrity and A Smile” yearly scholarship was replaced with
financial support to the Business and Entrepreneurship Program in an
attempt to reach and positively affect more children.
“As the overall team leader, I spearhead the management, marketing
efforts and financial operations of the company. My major emphasis is
listing property, working with sellers and referral clients, negotiating
contracts and coaching our team members. It is my goal to ensure that
the synergy of the team remains cohesive, efficient, exciting and fun.”
A graduate from Webster University with a bachelor’s degree in
Media Communications, Tammy began her real estate career in 1996. Her
past experience and education helped develop her excellent organizational,
communication, marketing and negotiating skills. She truly loves her
profession and genuinely cares about helping buyers and sellers reach their
