It also shows what the pixels-per-foot are at the back of each zone. Finally, the notes show ACTUAL distance and HEED distance. Since you are going to all this trouble, you might as well make it fun. The results will be much more useful and it will make your clients’ (and the mannequin’s) experi- ence infinitely more memorable. One thing I want to make sure is clear; the HEED Index lets you know the amount of detail you might expect to see if the object was that far away from you when you viewed it. The HEED Index does not suggest that the per- son will actually appear to be standing that far away. We developed the Wach Factor which ac- counts for perceived depth. How does the Heed Index correlate with JVSG Software? The photo below is a screen capture from JVSG CCTV Design Software. This software gets many things right. The color- coded zones are automatically created by the software. The operator sets the desired resolu- tion and associated colors for each zone.
