Petrol / Diesel Combination Cylinder Leakage Kit

This new combination kit enables cylinder leakage testing to be
carried out across a wide range of Petrol and Diesel engines.
Additional dummy glow plug adaptors are available.
AST5007 Comprises:
•Gauge & Regulator assembly with colour coded gauge scale
showing cylinder leakage in %.
•Airline coupler for connection to workshop compressed air
supply.
•Connection hose with M14/18 thread for Petrol (spark plug)
applications.
•Connection hose with quick coupler for Diesel (glow plug /
injector) applications.
•5x Dummy glow plug adaptors – M8, M9, M10 (coarse),
M10(fine) and M12 threads.
•2x Standard spark plug adaptors – M10 and M12 thread
•2x Long reach spark plug adaptors – M12 and M14 (For deep
seated spark plugs)
•TDC finder - To aid positioning of piston for test - valves
closed on ignition stroke (Petrol / Diesel)
Packaged in a Red plastic case. Instructional CD included.
Cylinder Leakage Testing – An overview
Cylinder Leakage testing provides a more diagnostic approach to determining compression or cylinder/head problem areas that the
normal compression test routines.
When performing a cylinder leakage test, air is introduced to the regulator at a constant and pre-set rate. The air loss is then shown on
the gauge scale as a percentage of the air that enters the cylinder.
It is introduced to each cylinder in turn and the rate of loss of air from each cylinder is registered as a percentage, higher percentages
indicating more serious faults. Additionally the point at which the air escapes provides an indication as to the problem area

Clamp-Type Injector Adaptor Set
AST4687NV
Adaptor Set to make Dummy Injector Adaptors for
Clamp-Type/Slide-in Injectors.
Fit the Dummy Injector Adaptor and retain in place using either a clamp
from the AST4687NV Set or the original clamp from the engine.
Select components from the adaptor set and build the Dummy Injector Adaptor to match the injector removed from the engine.
