Published by Mash Media Second Floor Apple Market House 17 Union Street Kingston Upon Thames KT1 1RR Association nation It’s been a busy quarter here at AEM as we have been keeping tabs on the association sector. In this issue we look ahead to the forthcoming ABPCO AGM, which takes place in Belfast on 21 June. Several topics are on the agenda, including a keynote from BBC broadcaster Davide Meade. However, the key message highlighted by ABPCO association director Heather Lishman is one of collaboration. Read Lishman’s column in full on page 5, and the preview itself on page 6. One man who has been very busy is our reporter Stuart Wood, who has put together the majority of this issue. He joined the Association of Association Executives in Sweden for the annual Associations World Congress. You can read a full account of the biggest talking points as seen through his eyes from page 10 onwards. This issue is wrapped up with a debut column from Brighthelm’s Rob Eveleigh, where he discusses the commission debate, page 18. AEM will be undergoing some changes in the coming months so we are keen to hear from our readers about what you enjoy or would like to see more of. Get in touch.
