The Kingdom of God is within you

Jesus declared the following

The King James Version translates the
phrase “in your midst” as “within you”.
Both give the sense of what Jesus was
trying to say at that time.

The Pharisees had been questioning

Jesus about the coming of the Kingdom
of God. They were looking for, among
other things, a literal kingdom … a rule
of God where their physical enemies

would be dealt with. Jesus’ answer was

of Christ, and hence He could say to
actually IN YOUR MIDST NOW! My life
is a living representation of the Kingdom

of God.” He was, like everything he
said, issuing them (and us today) with

a personal challenge: the challenge to
allow the rule of God,
