While the “moving of the Holy Spirit” is familiar to us as a Pentecostal Movement, we are also aware that there is much God still wants to do in our land. The Word of God begins “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2) And the same Word of God ends And the Spirit and the bride say “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” and let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take of the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:17). Throughout the pages of the Bible we see the Holy Spirit’s activity working in and through men and women. Beginning with prophets, priests and kings, it is now through a host of people. The Spirit still loves to create order out of chaos, though it is us, the bride of Christ, who have been drafted into the process. So, this next season of prayer and fasting is to stir us to prayer and renewed action as Spirit filled believers empowered with grace and giftings. The needs in our churches and nation are many, but the God of the exceedingly abundant, above what we ask or think according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20) is more than any match for the task before us. Coming to you shortly there will be the guide filled with inspiring devotionals and prayer points to help focus our prayer and provoke us to renewed activity throughout the nation. We’ve come a long way as a Movement in 90 years, and miracles, signs and wonders still happen, so may we yet see more from this season when the Holy Spirit moves in answer to our prayers.
