9. Cultivate
Lightheartedness
This includes spontaneity, humor, and
play—all launchpads to creativity and
spiritual growth. Spend time playing, simply
have fun, and celebrate being, alone or with
family or friends. Take pleasure in the simple
things in life that make your heart sing with
joyful abandon. Say yes to new situations
that make you laugh, force you to explore
outside your comfort zone, or prompt you
to view life from a new perspective. Bring
a sense of humor and silliness into every
moment, and refuse to take life too seriously.
Align with your soul’s passion and purpose
and sustain joy in your life.
10. Discerning Choices
Make discerning choices by choosing what
soulfully aligns with you, and what does not.
Be responsible for your vibrational footprint
on the planet. Choose not only what
sustains your well-being, but also the well-
being of the planet and all its inhabitants.
Each enlightened choice you make from
your heart must serve you as well as others’
highest and greatest good. When you make
discerning choices from your heart, you
perpetuate a more universal, encompassing,
and loving worldview.
Living soul-heartedly is living as grace in
motion. You have a sense of riding the crest
of a wave, dancing in the light, and being
wholeheartedly aligned with your soul’s
journey. There is no ego, self-consciousness,
or reservations, but rather a natural
lightheartedness and a sense that nothing
is more important than the present moment.
You see problems, irritations, or obstacles
as ways to fully express the light of your
being. Laughter comes easily and quickly
as does the ease and flexibility in playing
with all the possibilities in life. Experience
yourself as a “soul-hearted being” having a
human experience.

view. If there are toxic people around you
on a consistent basis, remove them from
your inner circle. Recognize when you are
energetically drained around certain people
and choose to spend little time with them.
