Children and the Gift of
Boredom

“Mom, I’m
sooooooo bored.”
If you have kids that can talk then
I’m willing to bet that you’ve heard
this recently. As a mom of three
myself, I know I have!
Whenever there’s an abundance
of free time, whether it’s summer,
or winter break, or times of social
distancing, parents tell me that it
feels like such a big task to keep
their kids busy and entertained all
the time and I get it.
There’s a lot of pressure on what we
should be doing and the activities we
should be signing them up for. There
are so many opportunities available
these days, including endless online
classes and camps, and we don’t
want our kids to miss out or fall
