Whilst transporting refugees from tents and camps into their new container homes, we witnessed refugees with no suitable footwear and astonishingly walking in the snow barefoot. Upon questioning, they replied yes it’s bitterly cold, but unfortunately we don’t have anything to wear. Mainly children and women are suffering the most with lack of basic necessities which has enabled Al-Imdaad Foundation to carry out an urgent winter warmth appeal which will include blanket, hat, scarf and footwear at £25 per pack.
