Another product that has received a new update is the XPression motion graphics system . In the latest 8.5 version , XPression is packed with an array of new features , including a new search tool that allows users to find fonts , materials and scenes more easily . Enhanced support for WCG and HDR is included , as is support for Bluefish444 Epoch 4K Neutron I / O cards , Windows 10 support and enhancements to XPression DataLinq data integration server with the addition of a number of new data sources .
Where graphics creation is concerned , Brainstorm has combined the Brainstorm eStudio renderer with the Epic Games Unreal Engine within the Combined Render Engine application . The company also announced the integration of Aston graphics material within the third version of InfinitySet .
InfinitySet is Brainstorm ’ s flagship product for the creation of “ advanced , photorealistic ” virtual sets and AR content . In v3 , the solution provides AR features and technologies such as TrackFree , TeleTransporter , 3D Presenter or VideoGate , which are all used by media companies globally to create programmes using virtual sets and graphics .
Miguel Churruca , marketing and communications director , Brainstorm , said : “ AR is in Brainstorm ’ s DNA , and our aim is to help media companies to create compelling content . For instance , when combining live sports events with AR , it brings viewers a totally different viewing experience as it allows them to feel that they are almost watching the show live from the stadium .”
Meanwhile at ARRI , the company unveiled Stellar , an app for lighting control . Available on iOS and Android devices , Stellar is compatible with ARRI ’ s family of lighting equipment , including SkyPanel and L-Series , as well as SkyLink .
From large films with many scenes and set-ups to small projects with minimal fixtures , Stellar allows users to create different lighting looks in any lighting scenes . Looks can be stored in Stellar , which saves all fixture settings and colour selections . Moreover , Stellar is able to manage switch colour modes , settings and output for all fixtures .

In an attempt to strengthen its commitment to drive interoperability based on open standards , Sony expanded its IP Live Production System solutions with further support for ST 2110 in both HD and 4K / UHD . For instance , its XVS-9000 switcher , which is set for release this October , features support for IP and 12G-SDI — same as the XVS- 8000 , XVS-7000 and XVS-6000 .
Dejero , which is continuing to empower crews in the field to capture high-motion news and sports content , has enhanced its EnGo mobile transmitter with increased processing power and HEVC / H . 265 compression support .
Kevin Fernandes , vice-president of sales , Dejero , added : “ As the broadcast industry shifts towards the HEVC / H . 265 video compression standard to efficiently transport high-quality video from the field , the latest Dejero EnGo is equipped with increasing processing power to boost overall performance , and deliver enhanced picture quality to those shooting fast-paced high-motion video in the field .”
The additional processing power has paved the way for a new dynamic content adaption feature that adjusts the encoding process based on the amount of motion detected within content that is being captured . This , according to Dejero , allows broadcasters to “ auto matically and seamlessly ” transition from a talking-head shot with limited motion to highmotion content without any softening of the picture or introduction of compression artifacts .
In managing storage of media content , Ultrium LTO highlighted its LTO-8 tape technology , which provides more than 30TB of compressed capacity , and up to 750Mbps data transfer rates . With continued support of partitioning

Dell EMC also showcased its ECS solution , which is a multipurpose , cloud storage platform . ECS is Dell EMC ’ s third-generation object platform , and is able to perform data ingestion and analytics within a cloud storage architecture .
