Nun on a virtual mission
The APB vStudio drew all manner of visitors including Catholic nuns such as Sister Melissa Mancita of the Society of St Paul ’ s . After being given some basic instructions on how to operate the virtual studio system at booth 6D4-04 , Sister Mancita tells the Show News that she saw the possibilities of using the technology for their apostolic work .
“ The vStudio is actually something new for me , and when I learnt the basics of how to operate this ‘ one-box , one-operator ’ for video production , I realise how we can make use of this for our mission ,” she says .
“ We can use this to make simple video production , such as visual messages from the church to the congregation — video materials which can help lay people in their spiritual growth .”
She adds : “ This system is something that our Sisters can learn easily . Having experienced first-hand how to operate this vStudio , I am happy and grateful that there is now a possibility that we can venture into video production in the near future .”

❝ It is very difficult to isolate only one technology , there are so many technologies being talked about in Asia . But certainly , 4K and HDR are having a huge impact on the television industry and transmission industry as well for the simple reason that we are obviously dealing with far higher bandwidth , and we got to have underlying technologies like Remote PHY to be able to deal with this .
