@ConnecTechAsia2018 www.apb-news.com 26 June 2018 Broadcast Solutions addresses technology trends with an innovative line-up of solutions German systems integrator Broad- cast Solutions is presenting its portfolio comprising 4K/Ultra HD (UHD), high dynamic range (HDR) and IP-based solutions to sup- port outside broadcasting, remote production, studio and playout facilities. For instance, the company is offering the ViBox live production system from Simplylive, a solu- tions provider for the broadcast and digital industry. Equipped with touchscreen user interface (UI), the ViBox platform comprises a back- end software that includes multiple applications such as live all-in-one production systems, slow-motion replays, official and coaching vid- eo reviews, digital recorders, as well as master recording and live streaming. In an attempt to expand its wireless video transmission port- folio, Broadcast Solutions has also entered into a strategic partnership with Mobile Viewpoint as the latter’s distributor in the Asian region. Under this agreement, Broadcast Solutions’ Singapore regional office will be responsible for managing sales for the full product portfolio of Mobile Viewpoint. Calling the partnership with Mobile Viewpoint a “perfect fit”, Joe Tan, general manager, Asia-Pacific, Broadcast Solutions, comments: “We are thrilled to bring Mobile Viewpoint’s cutting-edge solutions to the Asian market, and to start the cooperation with the presentation of products at BroadcastAsia2018. We are convinced that Mobile View- point’s end-to-end video solutions will benefit many customers in the broadcast industry.” Based in The Netherlands, Mobile Viewpoint offers portable and fixed encoding devices to enable “fast and reliable” video contribution. Using the company’s solutions, operators are able to go live, edit, stream and share live video an- ytime and anywhere, regardless of their location, says Broadcast Solutions. Visitors to booth 4G3-05 can also check out the demonstration of the MANet (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) solution, which combines video, audio and IP traffic within a flexible transmission system. MANet is a terrestrial microwave-based solution that utilises intuitive radios to create mesh networks. Although MANet is primarily used in the defence and law enforcement sec- tors, Broadcast Solutions points out that this technology is now rapidly making its way into the broadcast market. Simplicity, IP-connectivity and bandwidth capabilities are the main key fea- tures to this technology that will transform today’s use of tradition- al point-to-point video links, the company adds.
