NeuLion provides platform to power digital experiences

Can you tell us more about the NeuLion Digital Platform , and how it can help broadcasters deliver content , including in 4K / Ultra HD , over OTT platforms ? Chris Wagner : The NeuLion Digital Platform is a complete end-to-end video solution , delivering video content in the highest quality , up to 4K / Ultra HD ( UHD ). The platform comprises eight components that are fully owned and operated by NeuLion , eliminating the complexity and reducing costs of multivendor alternatives .
Content owners and content rights holders rely on the NeuLion Digital Platform to deliver and monetise their content . NeuLion provides extensive over-the-top ( OTT ) packaging and content pricing features and also develops many of the UI / UX experiences for its customers .
We power digital experiences for some of the world ’ s largest brands , including NFL , NBA , UFC , Eleven Sports , RugbyPass , Univision and many more . Utilising the Neu- Lion 4K Encoder , we deliver content in 4K / UHD at 60fps for some of our customers , such as the UFC .
We successfully delivered UFC 200 : Tate vs Nunes in 4K / UHD — the first-ever live , OTT , pay-per-view event available in 4K / UHD and delivered to consumers through an unmanaged network ( the public Internet ).
Besides 4K / UHD , how do you see technologies such as HDR , VR and 360 ° enhancing the video viewing experience ?

The combination of OZO Live and the NeuLion Digital Platform also offers VR content owners monetisation features around the production and delivery of their content . VR content rights holders can monetise content using any combination of business models to unlock VR revenues .
Video continuously moves forward . Black and white video ultimately gave way to SD colour . In turn , the limited SD palette gave way to HD with its higher-resolution
and more numerous and richer colours . Technology continues to march on , and 4K / UHD , offering even better resolution and deeper colours , is upon us .
The next step in the evolution of video is high dynamic range ( HDR ), an emerging standard aimed at increasing the number of colours and luminance available with video to more closely approximate what is visible to the human eye in the natural world .
The NeuLion Digital Platform is enabling content producers and the companies charged with encoding the content . By creating a software-based HDR infrastructure using video solutions from NeuLion , new and vibrant colour , and luminance standards can be implemented today without forcing expensive decisions or the maintenance of running parallel hardware-based HDR silos .
