Ideal Systems featuring 4K / UHD HDR at its booth
In collaboration with Bluefish444 , a manufacturer of uncompressed 4K / 2K / HD / SD-SDI video cards , systems integrator Ideal ( SI ) Systems is showcasing 4K / Ultra HD ( UHD ) SDI / HDMI post-production workflows .
With the Bluefish444 Epoch 4K Supernova S + Turbo , content creators can preview 4K / UHD and high dynamic range ( HDR ) SDI videos from applications such as the Assimilate Scratch and Avid Media Platform . At booth 5D4-02 , Ideal Systems is demonstrating HDR video on a Sony BVM X300 4K OLED broadcast HDR monitor , using Bluefish444 HDR SDI preview from within Adobe Premiere Pro CC .
The same Bluefish444 video card can also be used to monitor and create 4K / UHD HDR programming , as well as be re-configured for multi-channel SDI ingest , thus driving workflow efficiencies . The Epoch 4K Supernova S + video card can ingest up to four streams of HD 1080 / 720 , or SD video , in a single stream . Bluefish444 ingeSTore software then enables the capture of multiple channels of SD / HD / 3G SDI to media files for archive , edit , encoding and analysis .
Ideal Systems is also introducing Electric Friend ’ s new robotic camera system . Equipped with a seven-axis robotic camera arm , it is operated through an intuitive control surface , where each camera axis can be manipulated by a touch screen . A live video underlay allows users to receive feedback , while a robot replaces the need for a staffed jib or small crane , thus making the system suitable for repeated trajectory takes in news and sports studios .
A new partnership with Paywizard also sees Ideal Systems bringing advanced subscription , billing and CRM ( customer relationship management ) capabilities to pay-TV and over-the-top ( OTT ) operators in Asia-Pacific . The partnership brings 42 years of joint experience to solve the most pressing challenge facing TV service providers , says Fintan McKiernan , CEO of Ideal Systems for South-east Asia .

Ideal Systems is supporting this with APAC sales and implementation of Paywizard Agile , which enables operators to target customers with highly effective acquisition and retention
tactics . Upgraded in April this year , the Agile platform is equipped with marketing and consumer engagement tools , allowing operators to better track customers at different stages of their subscriber journey , and to build more targeted marketing campaigns .
