Resident of the Month,
Betty Miller
Betty Miller
was born April
17, 1929, in
Walnut Grove,
Mo., to parents
Hubert and
Madeline King.
Betty is a 1947
Walnut Grove
High graduate.
For more than 40 years, Betty
worked as a beautician in Wichita,
Kan. In 1949, Betty met, and eventually married Jack Miller. The couple
were blessed with a son, Randy Miller. Sadly, Jack passed away in 1963.
In 1987, Betty was married to Bill
Frazier. Betty has two grandchildren,
Heidi and Nathan, and two greatgrandchildren, Landon and Henry.
She is proud to have been able to
help her son, Randy, get through
medical school and his residency.
“There couldn’t have been a better

mother for a child to have,” says her
son, Randy. “My life has been very
blessed.”
Betty’s all time favorite movie is
Gone with the Wind. She enjoys
watching classic movies starring
Clark Gable, Vivian Leigh, Hattie
McDaniels, Fred Astaire, Doris Day,
Bing Cosby and Maurice Chevalier.
Betty has been fortunate enough
to have been able to travel to Spain,
Hawaii, Ireland, Jamaica, Tahiti and
Japan. She has a pet schnauzer dog
named Kristie. Her favorite meals
are McDonald’s hamburgers, lasagna
and Red Lobster shrimp.
In her spare time, Betty enjoys
reading, playing bingo, and listening
hymns and country music.
