Roslin Orphanage has three
buses and two trucks to serve
their needs for transportation,
ministry, and farming.
The children are back in the
orphanage by 1:30 p.m. After
washing up, they are ready to
have lunch together. During
the heat of the mid-afternoon,
the orphans either settle in
for their naps, focus on their
school’s homework, or help
each other in housekeeping
chores.

The children are trained
to set their career goals
and life goals according to
their passions or interests.
Budi and Peggy reminisce
about the children they had
sponsored in the past. Budi
says, “We just hope that they
are doing well out there.”
“It is a great day for my wife if
she can sleep more than four
hours a day,” concludes Budi. When asked about how the
children are doing, Budi

“we are so close to all of them

some are too nice; they are all
our children!’
Budi also observed that when
the children learned that
their oldest orphan is well on
his way to finishing medical
school, their morale was
expectedly higher. Inspired,
the children started to explore
new ideas and set higher
goals for themselves. “In the
past, they only aspired to be a
teacher, a policeman, an army
officer, or a pastor. Now, they
can dream so much higher.
Nothing is impossible! Yes,
they see me as a pilot --- and
some of them want to become
a pilot. These children are not
limiting themselves.”
