We are more than excited to have made it this far. Please take some time to get to know our magazine. We have different sections, all conceptualized to make you know and understand the 10 member nations that make up the ASEAN or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Let us make ourselves clear right from the start. We are not in any way connected with the organization, ASEAN, but as Southeast Asian ourselves, we want people to intimately know the region. It’s often overlooked and overshadowed when it comes to economic competitiveness, but the region is nevertheless a rising global economic force. Southeast Asia is so diverse – culturally, linguistically, traditionally and ethnically. It has plenty to offer investors and travelers alike. Southeast Asia is a great source of palm oil, spices and condiments, textile, apparel, vehicles, electronic products, food (fresh and processed) gemstones, rubber, automotive parts and more. You may have a fair idea about Bali, Komodo dragons, Bangkok, Pattaya, Boracay, Puerto Princesa or Singapore, but that’s barely scratching the surface. It is almost impossible to see all the incredible sights that the region has to offer in one’s lifetime. Have you heard about the city of Luang Prabang in Cambodia, which is a World Heritage Site? How about the temples at Bagan in Myanmar, Vietnam’s serene and scenic Halong Bay or Indonesia’s Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park? When we first discussed about
