also from Nashville, co-wrote and produced my
debut album Dreams & Chances. Michael also wrote
for Martina McBride, one of Nashville's very
talented high-profile female artists. John Bettis cowrote many of the songs on my debut album and
was last year inducted into the American Hall of
Fame. A little closer to home, some of the writers I
have worked with are Mike Carr, Troy Kemp and
Drew McAlister from McAlister Kemp, Alan
Caswell, one of Australia’s songwritin g icons, Roger
Corbett, Aleyce Simmons, Dianna Corcoran, and Jay
Collie and Jasper Somerville-Collie to name a few.
Do you write about your own life and personal
experiences in your music?
I believe that a really important aspect to follow is
to write about things you believe in. I love that all of
the songs I write or co-write are from personal
experiences or about someone close to me, which
helps when I am singing them, because I can put the

recording the album, my Nan past away. My Nan
was my biggest fan, and was such an amazing
support in my music career. She gave me my first
PA to help me get started with my music. I was
determined to finish the album and have a record
that my Nan would be proud of. It was like she was
watching over me, encouraging me to complete my
album. Knowing she was there beside me helped
me through this very challenging time. I am so
thankful for her love and her belief in me.
Is there anyone in the industry who has been a
special supporter or mentor for you?
I would say that there has not been any one
particular person who has been a mentor to me, but
I feel that the country industry is a huge family, and
