like a particular image of mine, that usually
makes me resolutely opposed to repeating it.
Are there any particular subjects that you're
working on at the moment?
As mentioned before, I'm working on a show
for the Lindberg Gallery in Melbourne,
sometime in April this year - mostly oils on
canvas, mostly portraiture and a few
landscapes, plus some older pieces. Also I'm
going to do a book of drawings, cartoons and
collages, inspired in part by the situationist
movement.

In this year's Archibald prize you appeared
in Paul Ryan's multiple portrait, "Thirteen
Noahs". How did you find the experience of
being painted as a portrait subject?
I've been asked a few times over the years to
be a subject for the Archibald but it's never
really appealed to me. I love Paul's work and
we share a gallery (Olsen Irwin) so it seemed a
natural thing to do.
In what directions would you like to take
your art in future? Do you ever see it as
becoming your main vocation, rather than
acting?

I have no big plans other than to keep on
painting and drawing away. I'd like to perhaps
get some more formal training... I'm happy with
the status quo at present, in a way there's
something kind of pure about being outside of
the art world and not having to think of it in
business terms. Having said that I'd love to do
it full time.
