Art WHAT IS ART? Art is a method of expressing emotions, ideas and mental processes. Art drives people to explore and appreciate elements of nature the way they are. It allows us to develop our creativity and imagination using mostly visual forms such as painting, dancing, singing and acting. Science WHAT IS SCIENCE? Science is the study of nature. It can be defined as gaining knowledge about the natural world through observing, testing and experimenting natural phenomena using the scientific method. HOW ARE THEY RELATED? Many people view science and art as two separate things. Usually art is considered to be creative,, expressive, sensual and emotional. While on the other hand, science is seen as logical, intellectual, objective and rational. However, they are both the same but the relation between them is a relation of opposites. They both require critical thinking skills; they only differ in the way of applying those skills. This magazine will show how science and art support each other. By Hagar Eissa
