Albert Einstein’s Creative Thinking Techniques By: Nadine Amin Albert Einstein once said, “If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” Albert Einstein was not only a great scientist, but also was a great musician. He played the piano and the violin, and music inspired his scientific work. His second wife, Elsa, said that music assisted him with his theories by helping him think and come up with more ideas for his studies. Einstein stated, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” He believed that the way an idea is conveyed determined whether something was art or science. If the idea was based on logic, then it is considered science, but if an idea is based on a form of imagination, then it is art. I personally believe that linking science and arts together is what made Einstein one of the greatest scientists in our world, and there are tips on how to think creatively like Einstein: Devote Time for your thoughts. Give yourself around 20 minutes each day to think about anything of your interest.
