SIBYL WICKERSHEIMER
(Scenic Designer)
Sibyl Wickersheimer is a set designer
whose regional credits include
productions at Oregon Shakespeare
Festival, Seattle Repertory Theatre,
Portland Center Stage, Lookingglass
Theatre, Berkeley Repertory, Arizona
Theatre Company, The Kirk Douglas
Theatre, The Geffen Playhouse, and
South Coast Repertory. In Los Angeles,
Sibyl has designed over 10 productions
at The Actors’ Gang of which 1984 and
The Trial of the Catonsville 9, have
toured to five continents. Outside of
the traditional theatre space, her art
installations and sculpture have been
exhibited in numerous galleries in
Southern California. Sibyl is an Assistant
Professor at the University of Southern
California in the School of Dramatic
Arts.
DANIEL MEEKER
(Lighting Designer)
The Other Place is Daniel’s 16th design for
the Playhouse, previously he designed
the scenery and lighting for The Light
In The Piazza, Detroit, Mother Teresa
is Dead, The Huntsmen, Bloody Bloody
Andrew Jackson, and The Brother/
Sister Plays, among others. Other recent
credits include: scenery and lighting
for The Typographer’s Dream, Lizzie,
The Last Five Years, Bonita and The
Mountaintop and lighting for Twist
Your Dickens at Portland Center Stage;
scenery for The 25th Annual Putnam
County Spelling Bee for The Pioneer
Theater Company in Salt Lake City,
UT; scenery for The Stinky Cheese Man
and Fancy Nancy for Oregon Children’s
Theatre; lighting for Adaptation at
Disjecta; Daniel is the principal lighting
designer for the Pickathon Festival.
Upcoming projects include: Le Nozze
Di Figaro for the PSU school of Music,
Ramona Quimby for Oregon Children’s
Theatre and L’italiana in Algeria and
Eugene Onegin for Portland Opera’s
2016 season. Daniel is a member of the
faculty of Portland State University; he
is a graduate of Ithaca College and the
Yale School of Drama, and a member of
United Scenic Artists.
ALISON HERYER
(Costume Designer)
Alison is thrilled to work again
with Portland Playhouse, where she
costumed Detroit in 2013. She designs
at venues across the country including
Steppenwolf Theatre, Portland Center
Stage, Kansas City Repertory Theatre,
ZACH Theatre, Indiana Repertory
Theatre, Redmoon Theater, La MaMa,
and Portland Playhouse. Recent
awards include the Austin Critics Table
Award and the ArtsKC Inspiration
Grant. Alison is faculty in The School
of Theatre and Film at Portland State
University.
