A New Position and
a Familiar Friendly Face
Adrienne Rich has been named to a newly created
position in the Chazen’s education section. The
position, assistant curator of education, was added to
increase capacity for the growing education
programs offered at the Chazen. “This is a long-
overdue and really important position for us here at
the museum,” said Candie Waterloo, curator of
education, who has overseen the recent surge in
programming. “Adrienne will be working to increase
engagement with our k-12 community, and in
particular strengthening relationships with our local
schools and community organizations, as well as
working to grow our family programs.”
Although she is new to the education department,
Adrienne has been on staff since 2016 and she
created the visitor service program, which staffs the
information desk in the Mead Witter lobby with
friendly, knowledgeable staff who help visitors get the
most from their time at the museum. Before her move
to Madison, Adrienne worked in a similar capacity at
the Bay Area Discovery Museum in San Francisco.
