wear a crown, a robe, and carry a bouquet of roses. Her prize
was a new shiny washing machine. I remember thinking she
should have been given a wig also. She first cried more tears
over winning and receiving the gift of the new wringer
washer chosen for her, and then went off the stage during
thefinal minute with Jack’s arm around her giving support
