went up to Jerusalem to give
thanks to God and worship
Him in the Temple. At 50 days
of the Passover, the Jews
celebrated the "Feast of the
Seven Weeks" or "Feast of the
Weeks", which in its origins
had agricultural character. It
was the feast of gathering, a
day of rejoicing and
thanksgiving,
