Tales of the Dublin Docklands

is a new, original musical by Travis Guillory premiering this November at Cité des Arts. Performances will take place November 5 through 15 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

With original music and dances, Tales of the Dublin Docklands is a theatrical spectacle for mature audiences that features eleven talented local artists, including Travis Guillory, Madelyn Kelly, Jessica Jouclard, Lindsay Renee Unruh, Will Bass, and Heath Swain. The cast also features Abby Boudreaux, Taylor Alexandra Novak, Vegas Woods, Phoenix Woods, and Charlotte Leavitt.

The show revolves around a young Irish sea captain who sets out to sea with an English passenger. As he tells stories of his adventures, involving his troubled childhood, prostitutes, an Irish drunkard, the Pirate Queen, and the Kraken, the characters in his vivid imagination magically come to life on the ship through song and dance. A campy display of wild, illustrious characters turns into one man's murderous tale of revenge and deliverance from a haunting past.

Tickets are $15 and can purchased online at citedesarts.org or reserved by calling (337) 291-1122.

A fundraiser for The Stage Backers, a non-profit organization that raises funds for the arts, will be held on opening night, November 5. There will be food, drinks, and entertainment prior to the performance at 6 p.m. with the performance at 7:30 p.m. The all-inclusive tickets for this premiere night event will be $40.
