This workshop will introduce the basic theories and
techniques of photography. You will learn the different styles
of photography by browsing a variety of images. Mr So, a
photographer, will guide you to complete photography
exercises, host discussions in the class and hold a field trip
session to help you understand more about photography.
Mr So Hing-keung graduated from the The Hong Kong
Polytechnic University in Photographic Design with first-class
honours, he is now a professional photographer. He has
held 39 solo exhibitions around the world. He was awarded
a photographic fellowship from Asian Cultural Council for a
research trip to the USA in 1995 and a one-year Fellowship
for Artistic Development by the Hong Kong Arts Development
Council in 1998. He won the Judges and Gold Awards at
the Biennial Hong Kong Institute of Professional Photographers
Awards in 1997 and 1999. His China series won the Prize
of Excellence of the Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition 2001.
本課程會教授攝影的基本原理和技巧。學員通過閱覽不同
的影像，得以認識不同的攝影風格。而大家亦會在攝影師
蘇慶強先生的指導下，完成一些簡單的影像習作，並透過
課程上的討論及外景實習，讓大家對攝影有較全面的認識。
蘇慶強先生以一級榮譽畢業於香港理工大學攝影設計學系，
現為專業攝影師。他在世界各地先後舉辦三十九次個人展
覽，他在1995年獲得亞洲文化協會頒發獎學金往美國深造
攝影，1998年獲香港藝術發展局視藝發展獎，其作品於
1997及1999年獲香港專業攝影師公會評審獎及金獎，而
他的「中國人」系列作品獲2001年香港當代藝術雙年獎。
