. . . overuse of comedic relief. Sure, who doesn’t love a laugh from time to time, but Hollywood’s need for snappy punchlines and sarcastic comebacks made some of the dialogue seem forced. A little bit of comedy lightens the mood. A lot makes us roll our eyes. It breaks the illusion.

Issues aside, the action and characterization of the film both take the cake. Fans, myself included, were astounded by the film’s blend of classic and contemporary when it came to effects. The traditional “pew pew”’s of blasters and “fwoosh”’s of the. . .
