What do you think your pictures describe? Today everyone is moving too fast and putting a lot of importance on really unimportant things. The physical falls represent the inner turmoil we all face of having too much to do and not enough time to do it. We’re trying to do it all. My characters fall to the ground choked by a society that tells them to be beautiful, rich, productive and most important, quiet. When all of this heavy weight become unbearable the only solution is to let it go and then collapse. That moment, when you are on the ground, you have two choices. You can stay on the ground and die or you can go through the pain and then stand up once again stronger and more aware. I like the idea that a person looking at my photos can somehow find themselves again think about their life and the world around them and then, hopefully, making some changes Every situation have a different scene in your mind so you do prepare for it, how do you decide this shoot will be aerial or from the front? Do you have a clear vision of how it will turn out? The aerial or frontal fall depends on the space I have available. I prefer to shoot falls from the top, or “aerial” way, as you said. But if I don’t have a suitable support that allows me to position myself exactly above the scene, then I have to find an alternative solution Some people call your work funny others intelligent & creative, so how about you? how do you describe your own work? I denounce, if anything, what is rotten inside and outside us with irony, a good dose of cynicism and an eye to aesthetics. Physical fall is just a consequence of the inner one. My photos are so appealing to people. I think the reason is the fact that everyone can read whatever they want in them. I imagine them as creatures floating around the world giving smiles, considerations, irritability, and agitation. They take on a life of their own once they have come to light. Maybe this is their strength. You may not like them, but if you find yourself in front of them you cannot avoid observing them, then something alchemic happens. I believe my photos are loved by people who have eyes on their hearts. I’m sure about it! 43
