The song and the clip made such an
impression on me, that I was drawn
by a very strong emotion wich
cannot be described just using
words. I’ve listened it over and over
and I cried a lot. That was the
moment when “The Book of Love”
was created – it was painted about
six months later. Oh, and a curious
detail of this short love storry: the
girl had a very severe eye problem
and she was almost blind.
Of course, after the ideea was
materialised, before putting the
drawing on glass, I had to ask
Magnetic Fields for permission to
include the lyrics into the painting
(many thanks to Claudia Genson for
understanding).
Durring the painting process I don’t
think about the viewer; I have to be
satisfied myself. The work is not
done untill it doesn’t induce me the
same emotion as the one that
initially inspired me the theme.
I’ve noticed that most of the viewers
have the same emotions when
