When I created this piece my intention was to express the promise of a new rising, the strength of a new beginning, the healing and much self love that comes with courage. Some viewers recognze it. Others don't. I respect diversity because it always presents an opportunity to illustrate details in which only diverse views can see. When I write or speak I certainly consider the energy, which my words deliver. I weigh each word heavily, exploring alternate ways of expression, hoping to deliver sometimes a harsh, complex, or bold statement with kind and compassionate words. I also try to understand and adapt to the capacity and capability of my audience. Being fluent in two complex and diverse languages, I know the importance of clarity in the expression of words. I also always keep in mind the power of words, which can be hurtful if misused and misunderstood. I hope to continue and grow, finding new undiscovered land and the many lessons that come with it. I hope that my spiritual connection with my inner self continues to deepen and heal. While I refuse to make plans and dictate a projected future, I trust that the universe will offer me many more favorable circumstances to express, create, inspire and touch the hearts of others, spreading as much love and healing peace around me. However, when it comes to expression of any context without words, I only deliver my message as I envision it, knowing that viewers will interpret my art depending on their exeriences and views. While I always create with peaceful, loving energy, I certainly cannot dictate, nor take responsibility for the way others understand or interpret my art. For example, to some viewers, nude art, like the image in my Tree Woman Becoming, can be viewed as offensive, uncomfotable, too revealing, Summer 2015 Special Issue I'd like to take this moment to thank you for giving me an amazing opportunity to share my created pieces of heart and soul with new viewers.
