reason why I started painting. After
years of music education I felt
suffocated by all the academic
knowledge and craved to create like a
child. This desire turned into a
commitment to spontaneity and
authenticity. At the very beginning

when I was still making small pieces on
paper, I would make a different series
each day, entirely based on my mood.
It was incredibly liberating. However
the more I painted, the more I saw the
limitations of spontaneity. It is the same
