Artist’s statement
I have been a studio artist for the past twenty-five years. I don’t have
any hobbies. I have few friends, most of whom are artists, but they
are all dear to me. I love Olive and Henry and I love my wife Theresa
immensely.
I make objects, mostly furniture, but on occasion when I’m pissed off
at the world I make social/political jewelry—I haven’t done that in a
while. It’s not that I’m not pissed off, look at Wisconsin the past five
years; I just haven’t made time…more excuses than time.
I received an incredible education at UW–Madison under the tutelage of Fred Fenster and Lisa Gralnick, they have helped me so much
to grow and live as an artist; priceless really. Rick Judd a
