Emerge 208 North 4th Street, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Located in downtown Coeur d’Alene, Emerge is a collective-model art studio and gallery serving the local community through artistic development and education, and providing opportunities for the public to create and experience art. A unique platform for up-and-coming artists, people of all ages and backgrounds experience art through regular classes. Events like the Pop-Up Show; the INK! Print Rally; Dia de los Muertos Fiesta in late fall; and artist workshops open the door for intergenerational connections. Emerge provides affordable arts instruction taught by local artists passionate about sharing their work. The focus is in promoting an appreciation for arts and culture by emerging artists with exhibitions, classes and outreach programs. Having a place to exhibit and sell one’s work is a vital component to the creative process. As Emerge reaches individuals with unique art experiences, the entire community feels the impact of art bringing people together and breaking down social barriers while enhancing an existing arts-based economy and arts-rich experiences for residents and visitors. Emerge brings unique, relevant arts programming to the community with a particular focus on people pursuing a profession in the arts and humanities. Youth and adults can take classes in photography, pottery, printmaking, fiber art, mixed media, film, music, drawing and painting. Class options are fresh, thanks to ongoing recruitment of gallery artists who offer workshops and lectures. Over the course of one year, anywhere from 150 to 200 artists have the opportunity to show their work in the gallery space and/or the annual Pop-Up Show.
