This duo recorded their latest album, “Off-Grid Lo- Fi,” entirely with solar and wind powered electricity on a nearly uninhabited remote island in Washington, resulting in a twelve-song album drenched with rich vocal harmonies, poignant songwriting and excellent guitar riffs. This group offers a refreshing exploration into the genres of folk, rock and roots music. Opening is Jacob Maxwell, a fresh singer/ songwriter who one never tires of hearing. REGIONAL REPORT Cd’A ARTS & CULTURE ALLIANCE July 19 welcomes back Indie- Americana singer/songwriter, Hilary Scott, along with her husband AJ Gennaro on drums. With her extraordinary voice and songs ranging from soul to Americana, Hilary displays her profuse interpretive abilities as she covers other writer’s songs along with her original work. Opening for Hilary is Eric Henderson who has been playing guitar since he was eight years old, and is greatly influenced by John Mayer. July 26 features Nu Jack City, a local high-energy favorite. Prepare to be moved as the band shuffles through various musical styles and genres with soul, rock, blues and R&B. Highly entertaining, this band always gets the crowd dancing and wanting more. Opener Pamela Benton is a singer/songwriter and amazingly talented on the electric violin and slide guitar. august 2 North Point Jazz returns with their smooth Latin jazz sounds. Another local favorite provoking the dance urge features Barry Aiken, NIC music instructor playing the keyboard, and Luisa Tabora on vocals in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
