If by now you might be thinking that to be the proud owner of a Lynn Ellsworth original custom guitar you ’ re going to need to take out a second mortgage , you may be very pleasantly surprised . Granted , these supreme instruments do command a higher price than those bargain “ off the shelf ” models which are usually assembled overseas and use very generic materials , but Lynn ’ s are highly competitive and some are even more cost-effective than many factory produced classics like the very expensive Gibson Les Paul . Best of all , Lynn ’ s “ unique to you ” guitars are handcrafted and lovingly born ( yes , Lynn regards each of his creations as his children !) not only in America , but right here in Spokane !
It is hardly surprising then , that many discerning guitarists and bass players in our Inland Northwest music community are also very eager to own and play a Lynn
Ellsworth original themselves . Talented regional musicians who are proud owners include Cary Fly , Rick Lillemon , Steve Springer , Joe Oliver , Bobby Patterson , and Steve Livingston . As I have mentioned earlier about national and international demand , this regional list could easily go on well into next week !
On a personal note , I found Lynn and his delightful wife Diane to be not only charming and super friendly , but also incredibly warm and welcoming , making me feel very much at home and most comfortable in their home . By the time I was leaving , after my interview for this article , we had become fast friends and after exchanging hugs I had already received dinner invitations from Lynn and Diane !
