Art Chowder: You recently had an exhibition at Kolva Sullivan Gallery
called “Excavate: Land, Space, Ocean, Body.” How long did it take
you to prepare for that?
helen: This particular show took nearly a year to create and acts as a
sort of documentation of my findings as I explore the mysteries of the
natural world. I’ve always been fascinated by the wonders of our planet
and it’s conservation, especially the ocean. Those subjects tend to be
reccurring themes in my work.
