PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT Rome is not a huge city so travelling to the grounds, the Foro Italico, is only ever a short taxi ride away. We would suggest staying near the Spanish Steps, Spagna in Italian, or near the Vatican City. On the other hand, the areas surrounding the main station, Termini, are less desirable. TRANSPORT There are no metro stations near the Foro Italico. Instead take tram 2, direction Mancini, from metro station Flaminio, and alight at Mancini. Or take bus 32 from metro station Ottaviano, direction Tor di Quinto and stop at Stadio Tennis. BRINGING FOOD INTO THE GROUNDS Security at the grounds is relatively lax. Fans are allowed to bring their own food and drink. However, the sandwiches, pizza and pasta sold in the grounds are excellent and affordable. See more:
